Big Brothers Big Sisters has other mentoring programs available to meet the unique needs of our community. Some of the programs being offered in our community include:
Couples for Kids
Volunteer with your partner or spouse and be matched to a Little Brother or Little Sister. This is a great way for both of you to give the gift of friendship to a child.
Summer Camp (conditional on funding)
Children in our program will experience fun and friendship and enjoy experiences they may not otherwise have through the summer recreational day camp led by students.
On Track to Success Social Mentoring Group Program
Big Brothers Big Sisters, in partnership with United Way provides social mentoring programming to United Way’s On Track to Success participants. Volunteer Group Leaders provide bi-weekly mentoring activities to a group of grade nine students in the program, which are fun, help build self-esteem and positive, influential relationships. There are currently two groups running, one in Leamington and one in West Windsor. Contact us
A Group Manual with activities is provided to Leaders to implement, and include various psycho-educational components. Individuals between the ages 18-30 who are interested in becoming a Mentor to a group of youth are recruited for this program. Those interested will be required to complete the BBBSWE enrollment process which includes a group-specific training session before the start of the program.
