Fox Glen Golf Course hosted the seventh annual Roth Mosey & Partners Charity Golf Tournament on June 19, 2009.  Strangely enough, it poured rain until 30 minutes prior to tee time, then after breakfast the skies opened up to reveal the most perfect day.  A light breeze refreshed the many golfers and a great day was had by all. The three grand prizes of $5,000, use of a Pontiac Solstice for the weekend or a Ford Taurus year lease were not won by the hole-in-one attempts, however, there were a few close calls!  A big thanks to all who made the day a success and we look forward to another wonderful day of golf next year!

The Roth Mosey and RMP Financial Services charity golf tournament has been raising money and awareness for the Big Brothers Big Sisters for over seven years now; in that time they have raised over  $75,000 in sponsorship, fees and raffles.

The event plays host to approximately 140 golfers on the lovely Fox Glen Golf Course in the style of a Four-Person Texas Scramble on the third Friday in June.  A golfer’s day starts with a complementary full breakfast (8-9am), 18 holes of golf with cart, steak BBQ at around 4pm followed by awards, a raffle and golfer prize valued at approximately $25 for every participant, for the very reasonable price of $140 per golfer!

Big Brothers Big Sisters hosts a putting contest and on another hole we hade a ‘Make It Onto The Green’ contest – one ball.  Those who are successful will win a sleeve of balls, a T-shirt or something similar.  In 2008 there were two ‘hole-in-one’ competitions; a one year lease for a vehicle and a $5,000 cash prize!!!   Others will be awarded for the longest (M & F) drive and closest to the pin…and first, second, third and most honest team!

Monies raised are used in support of our youth mentoring programs. Your participation by way of volunteering on event day, golfing, sponsoring a hole or by way of a golfer or raffle prize would truly benefit the overall success of the event.
